ARTWORK
When I was a practicing artist, most my work had been large-scale installations & audio pieces. Printmaking, however, is the art form I love to create most. I believe the process for creating prints can be attributed to any creative process…from the initial concept (SWIPE & IDEA GENERATING), to development and discovery (SKETCHING & COMPS), to preparing the print matrix, ink, and paper (DESIGNS), going through the proofing process (REVISIONS), and finally…pulling the print (FINAL CREATIVE). It seems cliché to say it’s, “zen”, but the process of perfecting each step as you work towards hitting the “bullseye” seems undeniable. I find the process to be relaxing, calming, and rewarding, which is why I love attributing it to all creative endeavors.

Printmaking techniques used: Intaglio, wood cut, linoleum cut, collagraph, screenprint, lithograph, handstamp, deboss, photo transfer, & digital
